The radiant cut at 14.6ct DEW is optimised for light performance across all lighting environments. In direct sunlight, the brilliant facets produce intense white sparkle and coloured fire simultaneously — the rainbow flashes are visible at a distance. Under incandescent or warm artificial light, the fire (coloured dispersion) is most dramatic, creating coloured flashes across the facets. Under diffuse or cloudy light, the brilliance (white light return) remains strong. The radiant cut's 70 facets are specifically arranged to maintain optical performance across lighting conditions — at 14.6ct DEW, this translates to constant, animated visual activity across approximately 18.5×14mm of faceted surface.
Stones of 14ct+ DEW in the radiant cut carry significant mass — the prongs securing the stone must be engineered accordingly.
