Green moissanite is produced through a controlled colour treatment process during manufacturing that introduces a deep, vivid green body colour into the crystal structure. The result is a stone that exhibits rich forest-green colour with the full fire and brilliance of standard moissanite. Green is among the rarest of moissanite colour options — and in a step cut like the Asscher, the green concentrates beautifully in the characteristic hall-of-mirrors depth, creating colour saturation that is genuinely striking. This green is distinct from green tsavorite garnet or green tourmaline — moissanite's higher refractive index produces colour with more dimensional complexity than any natural green stone.
Superficially, a deep green stone in a square step cut does evoke the appearance of a fine Colombian emerald — and the comparison is flattering.
