There is one stone and one band here, so the video has little to hide behind. Watch the blue darken through the pavilion as the ring rotates, and the band hold the same width all the way round.
Front on, the stone fills nearly the full width of the finger it would sit on. The blue runs right out to the girdle with no pale rim around the edge.
The profile is low. The band meets the head without a rise, so the stone sits close to the finger instead of being lifted away from it.
The underside is open. Claws and a thin rail are all that touch the stone, which is why the blue still reads dark rather than dull when seen from below.
Against navy the stone separates from the ground by tone rather than colour, and the white-silver band draws a clear outline around the whole shank.
A single stone on a plain band leaves you nothing to look at except the stone. The cut, the colour and the way the claws are finished are all on show at once.
This one answers that honestly. The blue is even across the table, the claw tips are small and rounded, and the band is the same width from the head to the back.
